Key resources for decision-makers
on the environmental sustainability of AI
AI is a source of promise to contribute to the objectives of ecological transition. Because public decision-makers and companies must be able to draw on scientific advances to build their strategy around sustainable AI, the international association “Climate Change AI” is listing, on the occasion of the Summit, the 13 key scientific documents to understand the challenge of the environmental sustainability of AI for decision-makers.
Climate Change AI (CCAI) is an organization composed of volunteers from academia and industry who believe that tackling climate change requires concerted societal action, in which machine learning can play an impactful role.
Since it was founded in June 2019, CCAI has led the creation of a global movement in climate change and machine learning, encompassing researchers, engineers, entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, companies, and NGOs.
For the AI Action Summit, where heads of state and goverments with companies and other organizations will convene to steer AI towards beneficial impact, it is important to make the link with researchers and international decisionmakers to fully comprehend AI multifaceted relations with environmental sustainability.
